NOTE! The automatic calculation of the comparison is only possible if you selected ‘Economically most advantageous tender, scoring’ as the comparison criterion in the ‘Information for the Supplier Portal’ section.
In Cloudia Sourcing, you can set maximum price and/or quality points for the total price or by subarea. Additionally, scoring weights (relates to the setting of price points) and criteriaspecific points can be set for the objects being procured (LINK). The price points are generated automatically based on the tenderer’s total price in relation to the other tenders received (the ‘relationship to the smallest’ or ‘linear’ calculation method will be used in the price comparison), and the maximum quality points will be given to the tenderer who received the largest number of criteriaspecific points (the quality maximum points are compared using the ‘relationship to the largest’ formula).
Scoring of price
When ‘Economically most advantageous tender, scoring’ has been selected as the comparison criterion, points can be defined for the group total price or subarea price that are distributed according to the selected formula (relationship to the smallest, relationship to the largest, or linear).
Calculation method for price points
Two options are available for selection based on which the system will distribute the price points in the comparison table
 Relationship to the smallest Formula:

(smallest entered/tendered value) * maximum points

 Relationship to the smallest, linear Formula:

(1 I(tendered value  smallest entered value)I / I(largest entered value  smallest entered value)I) * maximum points

The difference between the calculation methods is best seen in a comparison table:

Maximum points for price
The process for determining price points is slightly different if the price is set for a total price or the procurement has been divided into lots. See also the instructions for the comparison table and the ‘Information for the Supplier Portal’ section
Defining price points if the procurement has not been divided into lots (turnkey procurement)

Use the ‘Maximum points of total price’ field to enter one common maximum score for the total price for the entire procurement (all the defined groups).

In the comparison table, the system will calculate the price points based on the selected price calculation formula, summing up all the total prices of the objects in all groups (unit price * quantity being procured)

The tenderer who tendered the lowest total price will get the maximum total price points.

The points received by the other tenderers will be distributed according to the selected price points calculation formula.

Separate maximum score for price is assigned to each subarea by entering the score in the ‘Maximum score for price’ field

In the comparison table, the system will calculate the price points for each subarea separately based on the selected price calculation formula, summing up all the total prices of the objects in the subarea (unit price * quantity being procured)

The tenderer who tendered the lowest price in the subarea will get the maximum score for price in that subarea.

The points received by the other tenderers will be distributed according to the selected price points calculation formula.

Weight of the object in the maximum price score can be determined

If you want to assign a larger weight in the price points to a specific procurement object, you can define weights for the objects. A weight as a percentage of the maximum price score can be assigned to an object.

In the ‘Weight of the object in the maximum price score can be determined’ section, select ‘Yes’

Scoring of quality
In Cloudia Sourcing, tender comparison can be carried out based on not only the price and the points it yields but also based on qualitative criteria and the quality points assigned to them. Qualitative criteria and their scoring are defined on the ‘Procurement object criteria’ tab.

Qualitative criteria mean criteria to which a specific weight has been assigned that affects the order comparison in addition to the price

A criterion is made a qualitative criterion that affects the comparison by assigning it a weight in the ‘Maximum points’ column


The tendererspecific scoring of the criterion can be defined as being automatically calculated by the system, or the scoring of the criterion can be left to be done by the contracting entity at the tender comparison stage
 If the points are to be calculated automatically, set the calculation logic for the criterion in the ‘Calculation method’ column
 The calculation logics to be used depend on the criterion type used (see Scoring the criteria)
 If the scoring of the criterion is to be carried out at the tender comparison stage by the contracting entity, leave ‘Manual score entry’ as the scoring method for the criterion
Determining the calculation method for the total score of qualitative criteria
The tendererspecific total score of qualitative criteria can be set to be calculated in two different ways:
 Criterionspecific quality points
 Sum of criterionspecific quality points
 If this ‘Maximum quality points’ field is left blank, the tenderers will be given absolute quality points as defined for the criteria rows concerned.
 The total quality points received by the tenderers will not be compared with the total quality points received by the other tenderers. The tenderer’s total quality points are determined based on the set criterionspecific calculation methods
 Maximum quality points
 If a score is defined in the ‘Maximum quality points’ field, the system will carry out the scaling of quality points and the maximum points defined for quality will be assigned to the tenderer who got the highest criterionspecific quality score.
 When the scaling of quality points is used, the total quality points assigned to the tenderers will be compared with highest total quality score and scaled to the set maximum quality score

Defining the order of priority in the ‘Economically most advantageous tender, priority’ selection criterion
If you do not want to use scoring in the comparison, the comparison criterion can be set using the ‘Economically most advantageous tender, priority’ option.
 At the end of the ‘Procurement object criteria’ page is a section entitled ‘Order of priority of selection’
 Click ‘Add order information’ to add a priority row
 To change the order of the priority rows, drag and drop the rows into the desired order
 Click the cross icon to delete the row
 Click ‘Add order information’ to add a priority row
